Good to hear WOJM covering other lines compatible with GI Joe. The main reason I’m looking forward to SKO is to get some new characters in the mix. I love GI Joe but Hasbro is obsessed with reissuing the same few characters.

Hey guys!
Again another great show. A real opener, for me anyway, into what takes to bring out a toy line. Just wondering what was the off air chatter about since you left your mics open during the ending music, or was that a conversation that should have been classified info about the line. Speaking of which I took at the link you sent about SKO and it seems very promising. Especially since the action figure collecting seems to only becoming an adult hobby. I can’t wait for more on this line. Especially the Chuck-Dog pilot figure lol. Anyway again great show and I can’t wait for the regular one. Oh by the way not everyone in Canada has luck when it comes to items like the Ashiko cycle and Hiss tank. I never seen these items in Winnipeg. So not all of us Canucks are lucky. lol.
Anyway take care and I can’t wait for the next show.

The only thing that scares me is that it would be impossible to get the first wave when it comes out. I also wanted to point out that Chucks comment on the o-ring was simply retarded. Cars break down, Planes break down, and guess what? TOYS BREAK DOWN!!

@Ryan - hey Ryan, the show exit is a “radio version” of what you see on TV when the anchors of your local news or SportsCenter start talking, albeit with mics off, before the show fades to black. For us, it is just a continuation of the conversation that pretty much starts the moment we all get on the call and start recording. I think in this episode Chris was just asking if he answered all we wanted to know - which he did, and then some… Incidentally, the method and manner that we talk on the program is pretty much how conversations go at JoeCon, so if you ever wondered what it sounds like a JoeCon, just listen to the program.

Oh baby Chris from MMI is my hero! Great inter view gang! I feel like Chuck Dawg really represented the majority of today’s Joe collecting community to a T when he asked his little smarmy mouthed question about the o-ring’s inferior quality and Chris smacked him down hard with his answer! Chuck thought he would get a big laugh out of his o-ring jabs but got burned instead! Ha! Here’s your laugh! The controversial wrist and ankle articulation question was also addressed to a “No, were going old school’ like it was obvious and you were missing the point of o-ring ARAH style figures by even asking. Awesome! I know when Nerdsgetchicks, who you all raked over the coals over this issue a couple weeks back heard him say that and said Yes! Vindicated! Chris certainly knocked you all off your high horses! Lol Great interview I’ve been following SKO since the RI con so I didn’t learn too many new things, just the science behind the name, very cool! But I was entertained the whole time! Another great show guys, thanks for having Chris on the show to shed some light on SK Omega for us!

I really like the podcast you guys had with the SK Omega creators. I heard on the podcast that the first wave will only be available via Internet. If the Internet sales are successful, will the SK Omega toys eventually make their way to mass retail? If there’s enough demand from people for their toys to come to mass retail, will this tactic work as well? Keep informed as to what is happening with this toy line. If these toys do come to mass retail, let me know asap.

@ Allan - After talking with Chris, mass brick and mortar retail is a way off. Hopefully with a successful Wave 1 launch, possibly more online sites would participate in Wave 2. My guess it will be Wave 3 and beyond before they ever make it into a store. We’ll keep everyone up to date on this line - as you can tell, not only are we big supporters, but we are big fans too. -Gary

A little did you know about this episode: We lost the connection with Chris twice during this interview. Can you notice the edits?

@nerdsgetchicks and @dantedmc37 I wasn’t trying to be rude or smarmy with my questions about the O-rings just trying to be a different point of view. Put yourself in my shoes when you open a box of figures only to discover half of them are split in two and the cheapest of the bunch goes for $50 on Ebay. As I mentioned in an earlier episode I wasn’t aware that the phrase O-ring and the love of it extended to the entire figure; I just thought people wanted a torso and waist joined by a rubber band and points of articulation like wrist and ankle joints are open for discussion. I was wrong and in the words of the great Jim Ross “Lighten up Francis!”

Jim Ross? I thought that was Sgt. Hulka…

I hope this line happens and is successful. The vehicles alone look to be pure military toy platinum-clad gold. The CORPS is a crappy alternative to Hasbro’s limited motorpool offerings, the True Heros line at TRU is even worse. SK Omega needs to come through for us.
