This is a fast tracked episode because of the timely nature of needing to get our interview with Frank Patz from EternalCon and our old pal, Mark Cheng of Operation Red Retrieval fame.  Frank and Mark give us the low down on the upcoming pop culture convention on Long Island, on Saturday June 15th.  Believe it or not, our man Chuck will be stepping out of the Emanuele compound to venture out into the sunlight.  Will he survive?  We'll find out soon.  But hear the interview first and if you are in the NYC area, go to the show and watch Mark's movie in glorious IMAX!  We cut some editing corners to speed getting this show out, so we apologize in advance for a sub par edit.  We'll go back sometime and clean it up.  In the second half, we met up with USA Today Lifestyle section writer Brian Truitt after he just broke the news on the GI Joe SDCC exclusives.  After a long wait, we now know what they are and how much will they cost.  What do we think of them?  Yeah...you gotta listen, I'm not going to tell you here.  Mike and Gary host this "almost a clip show" edition of WOJM.  It's one of our shortest regular editions in over 2 years!  Here's hoping you like the quality over quantity!  :)

Are you ready for The Full Force?  It's coming soon!

It's an FSS EXTRAVAGANZA!  We are joined by regular guest host Craig from The Fwooshcast and show friend and toy designer Eric Araña as we give our thumbs up or down ratings of each one of the figures we will see in FSS2.  Justin and Gary review their ratings from FSS1 to see if they got anything that changed their minds from their initial ratings way back in 2011.  Erik clues us in on what he's been up to since he left the corporate toy world and what he has planned for the near future.  Even though the news this go-around was light, we turn the mailbag upside down and answer the last bits of unanswered mail from the past year as well.  Lastly, we are proud to announce our upcoming spin-off podcast, The Full Force.  To learn more about it, you got to listen!  Enjoy!!

This is one of those episodes that took forever to edit, but hopefully it was worth the wait.  The show features not one, but two primetime interviews PLUS the returns of two of our most favorite guests.  First off are the returns of Bill Ratner and Kevin Watts.  Bill shares with us his thoughts of JoeCon as we have a very casual discussion with the man who will forever be the voice of our childhood Flint.  He also learns about JoeCon in other countries - will we see him at Roll Out Roll Call 4?  Next up is an interview we have been very eager to bring you, our interview with Lanny Lathem from the GIJCC.  This is the first, of what we hope is a regular segment we have with the club, so be sure to leave us your feedback on this interview.  Following the break we chat with Mr. Watts about his NJCC Salvo figure and share a little back and forth about the Joe internet culture's feedback on it.

Sorry for the timing on this release.  Our jobs have been very aggressive with our free time, so time that we used to spend on recording and editing was replaced by working and sleep this go around.  We are VERY VERY interested in your feedback on the GIJCC segment.  Send us your thoughts or leave them here in the comment section.  Enjoy!

The Doctor is IN!!  No, not GI Joe Doc, or Dr. Sheldon Cooper, or even Dr. Johnny Fever...although almost as equally as crazy as the old WKRP rock and roller.  This episode we are joined by Mr. Brian Cummings, or better known to Joe fans as the Sunbow voice of Dr. Mindbender.  Join us as we talk to Brian about his career, what's he's doing now and we get to hear more about the upcoming Joe show in South Dakota, Mindbender's Clinic in Rapid City on May 18th.  Sounds like a fun time and you folks in the upper plains states should check-it-out.  In the second half of the show, we are joined by our old buddy (and Chuck's crush) Arune Singh from Marvel Comics where we spend the next 45 minutes talking about Iron Man 3, Thor 2, Guardians of the Galaxy, C2E2 and the upcoming San Diego Comic Con (or Comic Con International as Arune says).  Following our catch up with all things Marvel, we jump into a very abbreviated news segment concerning the box office returns of Retaliation, a look behind the scenes at Hasbro and Wave 5 of FSS 1...where Grunt, left us grunting...and Cover Girl left Gary grumbling.  Speaking of Gary, hear his report from C2E2 and why he is now on triple protection, super lockdown.  The things we do for our wives...

The co-hosts (and Chuck) return after their trip to JoeCon and some much needed rest (or in Chuck's case, just another week at home).   The team dives right into a full recap of JoeCon, including the surprise 2013 Concept Case, a full preview of FSS2.0, and their thoughts on the Hasbro presentation - what as shown and not show therein.  Oh...and they briefly review their on-stage debut as WOJM went LIVE for their first ever, full blown, JoeCon panel.  After intermission, it's time to hit the mailbag.  There is some Retaliation and some good ol' ARAH discussion in there.  However, there is a lot more JoeCon discussion is to follow, including a very good question on how to make JoeCon more appealing to the masses despite all of the post show negativity that typically accompanies convention season.  Lastly, Mike crowns Justin the WOJM March Madness champ for 2013, but wait until who finishes second and gets a chance to come on the show...no, its not Dave Tree, although he did beat Gary.

Well, its our second annual pre-JoeCon "Live" episode.  Who could we have as our guest on the heels of Jon Chu...well, how about TNI's and the CFB's Don Anderson.  Feel a little let down now?  Yeah, a little.  Imagine how we felt...but Don brought his B-Game for us and we had a semi-good show.  We answer more of your listener mail, talk about the surprising returns of Retaliation, rejoice at the green lighting of GI Joe 3, and do a ton of preview for JoeCon - INCLUDING the 10 day AccuJoe Forecast and  items you should bring with you on your trip to Indianapolis.  For those of you who are wondering, we also have James Kavanaugh's list from last year, so take note!!

So this is our last regular edition for a couple of weeks.  Thankfully, no Chuck until then.  In the meantime, catch our JoeCon Special Editions and see us LIVE (for real time time) in the Grand Ballroom ON STAGE at JoeCon on Saturday, April 6th, 2013 from 4:00-4:50pm.

See you in Gary's hometown of Indy!!

Once again, first off, there are many many spoilers discussed in this episode.  If you have not seen the movie and do not want to be spoiled, we recommend you DO NOT listen to this until you have seen the movie first!!

So we've all seen the movie.  There is some parts WE LOVE.  There are some parts that still need some work.  Aaaand, yes, there is a part or two that made us cringe.  With that said, we all enjoyed our time at the theater to watch the movie we waited so long for.  What were our favorite parts?  What parts did we not like?  What would we do if we were in charge?  We answer all of those.  Plus...we get an unannounced but very welcome visit by Retalition's Director - yes, Mr. Jon M. Chu himself joins us from his kitchen.  He spends nearly an HOUR with us candidly answering every question we asked him.  What an opportunity - thanks to Justin for setting that up and thanks for Jon joining us while going over opening night return numbers.  We had a blast doing this one and we hope you enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime recording of WOJM!

Once again, spoilers are abound - you have been warned!

It's the eve of the big movie for the 4 hosts, but before we can go see the movie, we got to get this episode out of the way.  Former Hasbro Exec Kirk Bozigian joined us a couple of weeks ago (sans Gary) for a nice little interview.  If you remember him from JoeCons past, and especially last year, you'll know he's a tad bit on the controversial side with his opinion.  What does he say this time?  C'mon man, you know the drill, listen and find out!  In the news we talk Roll Out Roll Call in the UK; of course the movie, JoeCon and the FSS; plus Cobra Commander is shot into space, your listener emails AND we announce our big plans for JoeCon in Indianapolis!  Download - listen - now!

It's our second ever listener call in show!  We put the news, email, and Twitter on hold and take your calls and answer your questions!  Show friend, Erik Arana hangs out with us and gives us a unique perspective on our hobby.  If you don't know who Erik is, you need to listen in!  Special appearances by WOJM contributors Eduardo M Freyre (with a lemon twist), Ryan Costello, Jr. WOJM Twitter laureate, Twitziller, Noted Author, James Kavanaugh, Jr. and Numbers from Ages 25 and Up.  It's a festive, from the hip episode where the only thing that matters is taking your calls...and making fun of Chuck.   Enjoy!

Yes, its another near 3 hour epic. This time the ENTIRE team is back in action as we are joined by Carson from 3DJoes.com, but not before hearing from Sunbow legend, the voice of Lady Jaye herself (and maybe your car's nav system), Mary McDonald-Lewis! She'll be at JoeCon along with Justin, Mike and Gary so you will be hearing from her again, we are sure. Sit back and take a trip down memory lane as Mary tells us how important Lady Jaye is to her and what's she's currently up to in Hollywood and in the Great Northwest. Carson joins us for the rest of the show and talks to us about his technology that powers 3DJoes.com and proves once again - what we ALREADY know - EVERYTHING IS BETTER IN 3D. In the news, the team laments the cancellation of the Canadian JoeCon. Retaliation trailers and the Paramount PR machine is in high gear for preparation of the 28th and 29th of March! FSS shipment 3 lands on our doorsteps and boy is it a "knockout." Joe fans have conquered now THREE hotels in downtown Indy for JoeCon 2013 and lastly, it looks like there is yet another tie between Jurassic Park and our favorite man of action. We got your tweets, letters and more in this episode of WOJM!

DON'T FORGET LISTENER CALL-IN NIGHT, TUESDAY, MARCH 12 AT 9PM EST. SKYPE INSTRUCTIONS ARE AT THE FRONT AND END OF THIS PODCAST, ON GENERALSJOES.COM AND ON OUR FACEBOOK PAGE! EVERY 5TH CALLER WINS A PRIZE! HOPE TO TALK TO YOU ON THE 12TH AT 9PM!!

The guys are back, surviving Winter Storm Nemo and Toy Fair. Before jumping into the coverage, we play our pre-recorded interview of the Renegades voice of Ripcord, Khary Payton. We talk to him about Renegades, Aqualad AND his voice roles in Metal Gear Solid and The Sims (yes, that is right, The Sims). Following the interview we replay the audio presentation of the Hasbro Toy Fair presentation concerning GI Joe. Following the break, we jump into a Mike-less mailbag answering some speculation questions on JoeCon and a Legendary letter from one noted Legendary listener. In the news, JoeDeclassified and JoeCustoms is having the mother-of-all customs contest with a grand prize that is truly priceless. Marauder John starts another Kickstarter campaign and at the time of the recording, we ALREADY successful, but you should contribute anyway, especially if you gave the first time around! Hot Toys tries to make poor Joe fans even more poor with pre-orders of their 12" Retaliation Storm Shadow. Speaking of poor Joe fans, BBTS puts their Marauders 7 pack on sale, so buy 'em up! Wanna free watch featured in the Retaliation film, the guys will tell you where to enter. Speaking of Retaliation, the viral marketing campaign is in full swing, do you have what it takes? Lastly, lengthy coverage of the GIJCC's 12" Comrade of Action and JOECON registration (which at the time of this recording as well was still open, but we had an idea it would be closing soon). All of this, dramatically and non-comedic-ally read by Ted Bastard (aka Chuck doing a very bad impersonation of Ted Baxter). Following that possible train wreck, we review Toy Fair once again, and predictably, Chuck goes fan boy for no reason whatsoever on the newly revealed Eaglehawk. We replay a clip from the ModeratelyGeeky podcast, which former guest of the show George, reads a monolog on WHY Joe fans will not like the Eaglehawk - and Chuck falls right into that hole as we expected. Mike is not here this week, but he makes his presence known. Thanks to Jay for stepping in again. We hope you enjoy this jammed packed show!

This is a bit of minor milestone episode.  It is our 100th combined episode we have recorded, produced and published!  While we still have a long way to go for our 100th regular episode, these milestones don't come often and there is no guarantee we will be around for Episode 100 so we give thanks and mark the occasion nevertheless.  This episode we are joined by Ed Lydon, the handchosen (by Chuck) winner of the FOC logo contest.  Standing in for Justin, who was under the weather, is CardedHeroes.com Jay Hunger.  Included in this episode is a very cool interview we had with Andrew Kishino, the Renegades voice of Storm Shadow.  Learn how he had to act against a character who didn't speak and hear Justin bust his chops for being a Giants fan.  Ryan Costello, aka Scramble from JoeCanuck and the Canadian JoeCon shares with us a new segment he's doing for us called Collectors Connection.  Its interesting!  You don't want to miss it.  In the second half, we read your emails about your favorite WOJM memories from our previous 100 combined episodes.  Oddly, most have to do with our Kevin Michael Richardson interview or Chuck melting down.  Both EXCELLENT choices in our opinion.  In the news, all 15 figures of the 2013 JoeCon set are revealed.  You will get your Justin Bell-free thoughts.  We are also excited to report that PRODUCT of all types ARE ON THE SHELVES!  Retaliation Wave 2 singles, Retaliation Wave 2 3-packs, Micro Force, Kre-o's and the running changes of the Basic Assortment figures (aka Dollar General Joes).  Also in the news is a LOT of movie news...well, more movie news than we are normally used to since May.  So all in all, it is a jam packed show.  Its awesome, and you know its awesome because we talk about Suzanne Pleshette...I mean, when was the last time ANYONE mentioned anything about Suzanne Pleshette - on a GI Joe podcast no less.  Enjoy #100 in a style only we do things!

Rough day, eh?  Kinda ironic this is all happening, AGAIN, and it's on Groundhog Day Eve.  I feel like we've all been here before.  Well, maybe we can take some of the ease off with this Lost Episode.  It has been a while since we've posted a lost episode, so let us fill you in on what they are.  From time to time we are asked to record a segment for another show.  Since we put the same amount of effort into a 10 minute show as we would a 90 minute show, we toss the file into the media archives to use when a rainy day occurs.  Well, this is one of those types of days.  So for those of you who braved the F5 world today, we present to you, from the archives, our submission to the GeekCast Radio Network's 2012 Year In Review episode.  Please visit our friends at GeekCastRadio.com, and say hi to TFG.I.Mike for us!  He's GI Joe's #1 fan!  ;)   Again, this was published with special permission from the GCRN.  Thanks Steve!

At just over 3 hours, this epic clocks in as our second longest episode ever. It's hard to believe we've never done a 3 hour podcast before, but you asked for it, therefore, you got it. MOAR WOJM! Think of it as a 3 course meal. Your appetizer is a marathon interview with Distinguished Author, Mark Bellomo. We cover things from the short comings of the hobby today and even dive into a little Monster High - not that we went in depth on that one, but is was brought up to prove a point. From Toys to Education, we cover it all with Mark. Before the main course, we cleanse your pallet with a trip into the mail bag and a review of the Vintage, 30th Pre-Prod and 30th Retail versions of the Skystriker from our man Shogi. In your main course, we deliver you hearty portions of community news covering FSS Shipment #1, the Shooter Kickstarter Project, Hot Toys, Retaliation and a roundtable discussion concerning the GIJCC Newsletter. If you are not full yet, Chuck awards the winner in the FOC logo contest and we are joined by WOJM FFL Champion Dan Uthman all episode long as he hangs out with us as a Special Guest. There is a little something here for everyone. So, for the next 3 hours (or next 3 lunch hours) enjoy as the news drought begins to end and the run to Retaliation and Indianapolis begins!

For those who aren't into the Fantasy Football, our big Fantasy League wrap up with our Champion Dan runs from 02:36:30 to 02:49:23. Yes, its a lengthy segment, but Dan has certainly earned his time in the sun to speak his mind, so we let him...and our witty banter rip with this last football segment of the 2012-2013 football season. Does it mean we're done talking Football....NO! We still need to pester Justin about his Patriots choking in big games, AND we have March Madness right around the corner. We'll still talk sports, but we will be doing a little less of it for the upcoming future. Besides, there is Toy Fair, Retaliation, JoeCon, the FSS and new toys coming out, so we will have PLENTY to talk about! We can't wait!!

It's been a while since we've done a retrospective.  With this lull in the news, the four guys get together to look back at the 25th Anniversary line.  What figures did we consider the best?  What vehicles did we feel were worth the money?  What did we think were the stinkers?  It's a fun and quick whirlwind jont through the era that brought Joe back to the masses.  Got an hour?  Have a listen!  Be sure to tell us your winners and losers.  Let the debate(s) begin!
