OK, we admit it, we are friends, fans and huge shills for our buddies at Boss Fight Studios. Since their Kickstarter campaign launched, we've done nothing but talk about these guys. Rightfully so! They are a very talented group of artists who worked on our favorite brand and we want to see them do well away from the corporate shackles. They are fans just like us trying to live the dream! The great part is, even you can help! Have a spare dollar? Maybe a spare $30? How about a spare $100 or more? EVERY DOLLAR AND EVERY BACKER TO THE CAMPAIGN COUNTS! It is a safe investment as the initial funding level has been met, but don't let that deter you from pitching in! Now, sometimes these Kickstarter things are a little bit difficult to understand. How do I contribute my money? Is it secure? Do they take my money now? What are the different contribution levels? What are stretch goals? Learn all about these questions and more in this special edition. Pardon in advance on some of the audio breaking up. We were stretching the bandwidth to its limits. However, settle in as we discuss their project (and have some fun at Chuck's expense) over the next hour. We hope you enjoy and when you are done, here is the almighty link to allow you to contribute. You won't be disappointed!

Bill Ratner is BACK! Yes, the man you know as Flint has BLOWN up lately. You can hear his voice on commercials from cars to cookies. Despite being a most awesome guest, he holds GI Joe near and dear to his heart. You can catch him next at the Hollywood Fringe Festival, June 18-21 and 25-28 performing LIVE and ON STAGE: The True Life Adventures of Barbie and GI Joe. What has Flint gotten himself into THIS time? Also...Arune Singh is BACK! That's right, our good buddy with Marvel Television stops in to talk about how cool (or not cool if you are Gary) a Joe/Transformers crossover would be. Prompted by the new IDW title, Arune thought the time was right to put it up for debate. You might be surprised how the gang reacts. In addition, all the latest about the Boss Fight Kickstarter, mailbag and all the good stuff we got in since JoeCon. We're back on track! Enjoy!
Yes! It was on its deathbed, but it got resurrected. Thanks to some long hours of editing we managed to piece together. The background on this show: well, we recorded this a few weeks before JoeCon. During the recording, the raw files on the primary recording PC basically corrupted. However, as ANY good podcast should be doing, a backup recording was being made. All hail Chuck for saving the day. Unfortunately, the show is now very dated. We had on Kirk Bozigian to tease us about his JoeCon panel and a return visit by Chris Sims, who brought along Chad Bowers to talk about their football themed super hero comic, "Down, Set, Fight". In a further bout of bad fortune, this interview was supposed to air WAY back in Feburary to coincide with the launch of their book. FAIL! We're not pros, but we sure did have a fun time talking about Football, Marvel's NFL Super Pro, MegaForce, Smokey and the Bandit and...GI Joe. Outside of the interviews we were joined by Boss Fight Studio's own, the esteemed Andrew Franks. We've missed the fans, and hopefully you missed this too - enough to listen to an old, nearly lost episode.
Why episode 93?! Well, because episode 92 is not ready yet. However, this one is ready and why make anyone wait? It's our "LIVE" show before JoeCon. Once again we are joined by the Vice President of The Crappy Figure Brigade, Don Anderson. We finally let Chuck talk a little wrestling, but really this episode is about one thing, JoeCon. The guys will preview the convention schedule and will give you an up-to-the-minute AccuWeather forecast for Dallas. It's raw and unfiltered and contains 50% more Chuck - so play this out of earshot of kids.
Pluv and Dan from the JoeCustoms Podcast join us for a very informal roundtable crossover edition of WOJM. Substituting again for Chuck is Dave from the Dave and Devall's Toys & Collectables Podcast. Plus the guys talk Joe from 1991, discuss the news, dip into the mailbag and much much more!
Erik from Boss Fight Studios and Dave from the "Dave and Devall's Toys & Collectables" Podcast help co-host with Justin and Mike as they wrap up the latest from FSS2 and the upcoming Joe Convention in Dallas. That's right, NO CHUCK, but 3 times the fun! We also feature yet another interview with a famous voice from Sunbow's path, none other than BJ Ward dials in to talk with us about Scarlett and her upcoming appearance at JoeCon! Gary is taking a few episodes off, so special thanks to Maximus for the edit job.

Curious about the 12" Joe premium figures from Hot Toys? The fellas talk to the experts from The Hottoycast to get the lowdown. If you have ever thought about buying a Hot Toys Joe and are still not sure about this type of investment in the hobby, have a listen, we might just sway you off the fence. In the news the gang discusses the early stages of GI Joe 3, disappointing retailer news concerning Joe product for 2014 (we told you so), they review the latest from the GIJCC and FSS2 and they have some special announcements of some shows that they will be appearing at during this upcoming convention season. To top it off, Chuck is made fun of a lot and Justin is crowned the 2013 WOJM Fantasy Football League Champion. The road to episode 100 and Joe Con begins now! Join us!
It is a 4 hour holiday and end of year epic. The first half of this behemoth features a 2 HOUR interview with one of our favorite toy industry intellectuals, Mark Bellomo. This interview, turned high brow toy discussion covers topics ranging from working with Larry Hama to a full blown discussion on what Hasbro can do next to re-ignite our favorite line. Make sure to have plenty of fluids and get up and stretch to keep the blood flowing because this is our longest interview yet. The news this episode is all about the GIJCC. We got 2 shipments of the FSS. We now know the 3.75" and 12" incentive figures AND the HAVOK Mk II (Huh?!). Also head on over to the NEW GIJCC forums and vote in the "official"-ish Billy Kessler figure poll. Following the news it is all about looking back at 2013 and looking forward to a dim 2014 - the best we can. The look back is highlighted by our best moment of the year, our interview with Jon M. Chu. Re-live the magical moment with us, will ya? Sorry, there is no epic Chuck Melt Down HA-HA moment of 2014, but he almost causes us to meltdown when he lets an appearance of a certain annoying show character grab the mic. You will want to miss that segment, but everything else is worth your 4 hours. We're not forgetting this one Irizarry!!
This is our holiday present to you. You asked for it and we delivered. Join Justin, Mike and Gary as they sit back and re-watch Jon Chu's Extended Cut of GI Joe Retaliation...and recorded their commentary. If you got the movie for a holiday present, we invite you to watch it with us the first time. Sync up instructions are included in the show itself. So watch it like you stole it! Happy Holidays and enjoy!
It's that time again! It's time for the yearly reading of the JoeCon Brochure. Listen as the salty WOJM convention veterans run down the planned events of the 2014 Dallas Convention. If you are on the fence, not sure about JoeCon or have a question, listen up, here is your chance to be swayed or answered. JoeCon is an experience, so experience it with us, will you? It all starts with the site announcement, this is stop number 2 on the road to Dallas. So gather round and listen to brother Justin read it like it is while Mike and Gary comment. Enjoy!
On the eve of Halloween, the fellas talk to Matt Holdaway of the Cobra 1st Legion Cosplay group. If you are a Cosplayer or someone who is interested in getting into Joe cosplay, listen up! Lots of good info on how you can join up and network with the only Joe cosplay group out there. JoeCon is in the news as we're headed to Dallas...well, all of us except Chuck. Iowa's Assembly Required is coming up! We dive into the mailbag to read more of your letters and we look back to the year 1987 in Episode 87 to talk about our favorite figures and vehicles from the vintage line. All that and a wrap up of the WOJM FFL season to date, on this episode of WOJM! Happy Thanksgiving!
Gary is soooo happy it isn't Indy that he calls this this special edition #34. With that small gaff aside, it is a Dallas themed episode complete with anthems from the TV show and the Cowboys. Joining the show con-vets are the guys from the Regular Joes Podcast who put the regular WOJM hosts con appearance is total waste. Everyone on this show combined has over 60 YEARS of JoeCon experience. Got a question about JoeCon? On the fence about going? Wondering how much its going to cost? Will I fit in? Well, we answer this and many other question in addition to sharing MANY convention memories. WE are YOUR source for coverage of the OFFICIAL GI Joe Convention. Have a listen on THIS special edition #35 (c'mon Gary!) of WOJM!! Go Cowboys (and Colts and Giants)!!
You have waited long enough so we're going to reward you with this 3 hour epic filled with 2 interviews that you will want to hear. In the first half, our friends from Boss Fight Studios join us before they make the hop to Roll Out Roll Call 4 in the UK. Find out what they are working on and what is next for our favorite former Joe Team designers. In the second half we continue our interview series with the GIJCC meeting David S. Lane. If you ever wanted to know how the club designs a figure and what Hasbro's role is, you will want to listen. Also find out how close we are to learning what the 2014 incentive figure is. It is an interesting interview with Dave pulling back the curtain to unveil a world we only known from rumor and conjecture. You won't want to miss it. To wrap it up, we dip into the mailbag, make fun of Justin's crappy Fantasy Football Team and report in on what we've got in over these last couple of slow weeks. And don't forget, since this is episode 86, we will talk about our favorite figures and vehicles from '86. Vintage talk ahoy! Enjoy!!
In this episode, they guys talk with former Hasbro employee Rich Schad who worked on the Joe line during The Rise of Cobra. He talks to us about some of the work he did, some of which we saw, and sadly, some of which we didn't see. Ever wonder why the Rise of Cobra boxes were oddly shaped? Ever wonder what happened to that rumored IG v Steel Brigade set? You'll find out why from Rick. All in all, its a very interesting look into a side of our hobby that is not often talked about. In the news, Retaliation W3.5 and W2 Kreons finally hit the shelves, new premium 12" figures hit in the form of Sideshow Storm Shadow and Hot Toys Joe Colton, and friend of the show Chris (aka Mysterious Stranger) talks to Hasbro's Derryl DePriest at SDCC about the future of the line. Before wrapping it up, the gang dives into the mailbag once more to answer your burning questions. It's episode 85 - and you know what that means...the guys talk about 1985 Joes. Find our our favorites from this era. All this packed into 2 hours! Enjoy!
YES!! It's here! Better late than never, eh? In this episode we are joined by Will from BrickArms.com who tutors us on how to upgrade and arm your Joe Kreons. A little later on we are joined by our buddy from Marvel Comics, Arune, who talks about the upcoming Agents of SHIELD television show and Marvel's plans for SDCC. In the second half we jump immediately into the news to talk about the Retaliation home release, a possible Kreo surprise at SDCC, new Sideshow offerings and GI Joe Battlelines goes live! After the news the gang dives into the mailbag which generates some deep discussion. You won't want to miss it! Hey, we even have some new ad drops and bumpers. Don't miss it - listen now!!
Episode 1 of The Full Force is here. Join Dave, Chris and Eddie and they as they interview James Marshall from Blood For The Baron (dot com). Later they are joined by Mike, Justin and Gary from the WOJM mothership to talk a little Action Force history. All this plus the gang from Boss Fight Studios to talk about Action Force customizing! If you liked the pilot, you will love this FIRST regular installment of TFF!!
It's been a month in the making! Thanks for the wait. We have one a heck of a show for this episode. In the first half, we actually have some VINTAGE discussion talking about our favorite figure and vehicle from 83 (and 82). We will do this every episode from here on out until we get to 94 and then we will figure something else out! HA! After our discussion, we jump to a pre-recorded interview with GI Joe Field Manual co-author Jim Sorenson. In the second half, Jay Hunger (from that hack geeky podcast) joins Gary as they talk to Billy Cooper of the Indy Toy and Comic Expo as WOJM will be recording live from their show in July! After the interview we dip into the mailbag to read a letter from one of our regular listeners detailing the similarities and differences of JoeCon v. BotCon. In the news we celebrate Jon Chu helming GI Joe 3, they review - once again - the SDCC Joe exclusives, they discuss the new Regular Joes Podcast and wrap it up with talk about the new wave of Retaliation Joes arriving. It's a pieced together episode that totals almost 3 hours of content...and a woman on it to boot. How could you NOT listen now, right? Oh, and don't forget to listen to our new spin off, The Full Force!
This is a fast tracked episode because of the timely nature of needing to get our interview with Frank Patz from EternalCon and our old pal, Mark Cheng of Operation Red Retrieval fame. Frank and Mark give us the low down on the upcoming pop culture convention on Long Island, on Saturday June 15th. Believe it or not, our man Chuck will be stepping out of the Emanuele compound to venture out into the sunlight. Will he survive? We'll find out soon. But hear the interview first and if you are in the NYC area, go to the show and watch Mark's movie in glorious IMAX! We cut some editing corners to speed getting this show out, so we apologize in advance for a sub par edit. We'll go back sometime and clean it up. In the second half, we met up with USA Today Lifestyle section writer Brian Truitt after he just broke the news on the GI Joe SDCC exclusives. After a long wait, we now know what they are and how much will they cost. What do we think of them? Yeah...you gotta listen, I'm not going to tell you here. Mike and Gary host this "almost a clip show" edition of WOJM. It's one of our shortest regular editions in over 2 years! Here's hoping you like the quality over quantity!
Are you ready for The Full Force? It's coming soon!
It's an FSS EXTRAVAGANZA! We are joined by regular guest host Craig from The Fwooshcast and show friend and toy designer Eric Araña as we give our thumbs up or down ratings of each one of the figures we will see in FSS2. Justin and Gary review their ratings from FSS1 to see if they got anything that changed their minds from their initial ratings way back in 2011. Erik clues us in on what he's been up to since he left the corporate toy world and what he has planned for the near future. Even though the news this go-around was light, we turn the mailbag upside down and answer the last bits of unanswered mail from the past year as well. Lastly, we are proud to announce our upcoming spin-off podcast, The Full Force. To learn more about it, you got to listen! Enjoy!!
