WOJM Special Edition #1: Canadian Joe Con Spectacular!

Posted in WOJM Special Edition, Gary, James, Greg, CanJoeCon by whatsonjoemind on June 21st, 2011

Program co-hosts Greg and Gary venture up north to Toronto for the 2011 Canadian Joe Convention. With a little help from CJC staffer Ryan and from published author and friend of the program James Kavanaugh Jr., the team pulls off the first Joe convention podcast. With no real news to discuss, we let James run wild with an open microphone in part 1. In part 2 we talk with Tristan Rudat about his new full-length feature documentary: Code Name Blast Off. In part 3 we get to hear more about how the convention set was made from CJC staffers Dave and Ed AND we get to learn a little about JoeCustoms.com from John aka Pluv! Finally, we get to hear some parting words from none other than the main host himself, THE Mike; aka Mike Heddle. Its a 3 part clip show encompassing an 13 hour time line - squeezed down to less than an hour for your listening pleasure. It's the Canadian Joe Con delivered right to your MP3 player from the fellas of What's on JOE Mind!! Now go grab us some Timbits!!

I’m waiting for iTunes to upload this. Sounds like you guys had a blast.

I have a question regarding the Candian exclusives. Are the characters considerd part of the greater Joe canon or are treated as their own thing completely seperate from anything else?

In other words, if I was creating a giant master list of characters ala what Devils Due did around the time of WW3, do I count the Candian chacters?

Ed, pretty much the only Canada Con character that is part of the Hasbro canon is Backstop. Everything else resides in its own “Canuckverse”. Anyone on the CJC care to clarify, add or correct this?

Thanks for the response. I have noticed none of the Canada Con figures are listed on YoJoe. Its interesting how they’re not in Hasbro canon yet JoeCon characters like the Dreadheads, the MOTH Cobras, and the Night Stalker Commander are.
