During this year's JoeCon, WOJM was allowed the very unique opportunity to host a panel for the attendees.  Thus, "WOJM Live!" was born.  Join Mike, Justin and Gary as they interview the GIJCC's own "Headman," Mr. Brian Savage himself.  Yes, for the first time ever, the club submits to an interview...what will they say?  Following the interview, we send Mike out into the crowd to talk about your one-word issues.  What will the randomness result in when our own "Roving Mike" put a microphone in front of a stranger's mouth?  So in case you've missed it (like Chuck), here is WOJM on-stage debut at the 2013 JoeCon in Indy!  Enjoy!

Episode 78: What’s on JOE Mind?

The co-hosts (and Chuck) return after their trip to JoeCon and some much needed rest (or in Chuck's case, just another week at home).   The team dives right into a full recap of JoeCon, including the surprise 2013 Concept Case, a full preview of FSS2.0, and their thoughts on the Hasbro presentation - what as shown and not show therein.  Oh...and they briefly review their on-stage debut as WOJM went LIVE for their first ever, full blown, JoeCon panel.  After intermission, it's time to hit the mailbag.  There is some Retaliation and some good ol' ARAH discussion in there.  However, there is a lot more JoeCon discussion is to follow, including a very good question on how to make JoeCon more appealing to the masses despite all of the post show negativity that typically accompanies convention season.  Lastly, Mike crowns Justin the WOJM March Madness champ for 2013, but wait until who finishes second and gets a chance to come on the show...no, its not Dave Tree, although he did beat Gary.

WOJM Special Edition #30: JoeCon Day 3

So were our trio drunk or not for Special Edition #29...or did they lead you to think that?  Well if you think that is controversial, wait until you hear this report, "LIVE" from the sales floor.  Join Mike, Justin and Gary as they record directly out of the COIL Club's booth, which is dead center of the sales floor.  The guys will report on what has happened thus far to this point in the show and interview friends and listeners as they stroll by.  You will also recognize two of the personalities we talk to as regular show "contributors".  Who could they be?  You have to listen and find out.  No beers were consumed during this recording, but if you hate the consumption of donuts, you may want to skip this one.  Enjoy!!

Episode 77: What’s on JOE Mind?

Well, its our second annual pre-JoeCon "Live" episode.  Who could we have as our guest on the heels of Jon Chu...well, how about TNI's and the CFB's Don Anderson.  Feel a little let down now?  Yeah, a little.  Imagine how we felt...but Don brought his B-Game for us and we had a semi-good show.  We answer more of your listener mail, talk about the surprising returns of Retaliation, rejoice at the green lighting of GI Joe 3, and do a ton of preview for JoeCon - INCLUDING the 10 day AccuJoe Forecast and  items you should bring with you on your trip to Indianapolis.  For those of you who are wondering, we also have James Kavanaugh's list from last year, so take note!! WOJM Special Edition #28: Our Review of Retaliation...AND JON CHU!!

Once again, first off, there are many many spoilers discussed in this episode.  If you have not seen the movie and do not want to be spoiled, we recommend you DO NOT listen to this until you have seen the movie first!! So we've all seen the movie.  There is some parts WE LOVE.  There are some parts that still need some work.  Aaaand, yes, there is a part or two that made us cringe.  With that said, we all enjoyed our time at the theater to watch the movie we waited so long for.  What were our favorite parts?  What parts did we not like?  What would we do if we were in charge?  We answer all of those.  Plus...we get an unannounced but very welcome visit by Retalition's Director - yes, Mr. Jon M. Chu himself joins us from his kitchen.  He spends nearly an HOUR with us candidly answering every question we asked him.  What an opportunity - thanks to Justin for setting that up and thanks for Jon joining us while going over opening night return numbers.  We had a blast doing this one and we hope you enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime recording of WOJM! We're not kidding.  If you listen to this and you don't like spoilers BEFORE you see the movie, then its YOUR fault.  We recorded this a few weeks ago just hours after our man in the UK, Dave Tree, got to see an advance preview of GI Joe Retaliation.  While the details were fresh in his mind, he joined Justin and Gary to give his full, no holds barred report of the film.  You patiently waited THREE years since Rise of Cobra AND on top of that, ANOTHER NINE MONTH delay so they can convert it to 3D.  Now it is OUR time and OUR turn.  Is everything better in 3D?  Find out next, in this monumental and landmark special edition of WOJM!  Oh, and thanks to Jon Chu for the intro!  ;)

WOJM Special Edition #26: WOJM on the Red Carpet in London!

As of late, when most of us think of Retaliation and the color red, we think of how much of a knock out Adrianne Palicki looks in that red dress she is seen wearing in the trailers.  Well, red means something else when it comes to worldwide premiere's of movies, it means the RED CARPET.  Paramount UK afforded an opportunity for our man in the UK, Dave Tree, to attend the premiere and get a spot on the side of the carpet, we couldn't pass it up.  Throw in an exclusive interview with Director Jon M. Chu, and it is a DONE DEAL!  WOJM is red carpet bound.  Check this show out as Justin and Gary comment on the movie and interviews, all the while throwing coverage back to London for updates from the premiere party.  Music, ninjas and celebs abound!  This is a CAN'T MISS special - once in a lifetime - edition of WOJM!

WOJM Special Edition #25: Ladies Night II

By popular demand, it's back!  It's Ladies Night II!!  The WOJM crew assemble a panel of female collectors and wives of collectors to talk to us about their collecting, relationships AND answer your questions that you've sent in.  Rejoining us again in 2013 is Gary's wife Debbie and Mo from Moderately Geeky.  New to the panel is the co-host of the Open Your Toys Cast, Mrs. McFavorite and the owner of our sponsor, Kokomo Toys, Amber.  This was one of our most popular episodes of 2012 and included the infamous Chuck meltdown that you voted on as your most favorite Chuck Moment of 2012.  If you missed it or never heard it, you need to hear it here first!   There isn't much Joe discussed here and because of the nature of the program and how we know each other, there are a lot of inside and running jokes.  Bear with us, because the info contained herein is some good stuff.  It's the one night we sort of relax and let the show be about the ladies and lots of fun.  There is no Chuck this year, but we have some flavor in the second half with our own Herb and spices added.  So suck in that gut gentlemen, comb your hair and tuck in your shirt because the ladies are joining us tonight!

Episode 73: What’s on JOE Mind?

The guys are back, surviving Winter Storm Nemo and Toy Fair. Before jumping into the coverage, we play our pre-recorded interview of the Renegades voice of Ripcord, Khary Payton. We talk to him about Renegades, Aqualad AND his voice roles in Metal Gear Solid and The Sims (yes, that is right, The Sims). Following the interview we replay the audio presentation of the Hasbro Toy Fair presentation concerning GI Joe. Following the break, we jump into a Mike-less mailbag answering some speculation questions on JoeCon and a Legendary letter from one noted Legendary listener. In the news, JoeDeclassified and JoeCustoms is having the mother-of-all customs contest with a grand prize that is truly priceless. Marauder John starts another Kickstarter campaign and at the time of the recording, we ALREADY successful, but you should contribute anyway, especially if you gave the first time around! Following that possible train wreck, we review Toy Fair once again, and predictably, Chuck goes fan boy for no reason whatsoever on the newly revealed Eaglehawk. We replay a clip from the ModeratelyGeeky podcast, which former guest of the show George, reads a monolog on WHY Joe fans will not like the Eaglehawk - and Chuck falls right into that hole as we expected. WOJM Special Edition #24: Toy Fair 2013 Hasbro Coverage

Yeah, so what there was a blizzard on the east coast.  We have new Joes to talk about.  Justin and Gary (joined by Joe Customs Podcast host Pluv John) recap the days events in this quick and very dirty special edition of WOJM Toy Fair Coverage.  It was an awesome adventure which we will talk about more in length on our next regular episode, but until then, enjoy this episode.  The first half of 2013 is shaping up to be pretty damn cool!

Episode 72: What’s on JOE Mind?

This is a bit of minor milestone episode.  It is our 100th combined episode we have recorded, produced and published!  While we still have a long way to go for our 100th regular episode, these milestones don't come often and there is no guarantee we will be around for Episode 100 so we give thanks and mark the occasion nevertheless.  This episode we are joined by Ed Lydon, the handchosen (by Chuck) winner of the FOC logo contest.  Standing in for Justin, who was under the weather, is CardedHeroes.com Jay Hunger.  Included in this episode is a very cool interview we had with Andrew Kishino, the Renegades voice of Storm Shadow.  Learn how he had to act against a character who didn't speak and hear Justin bust his chops for being a Giants fan.  Ryan Costello, aka Scramble from JoeCanuck and the Canadian JoeCon shares with us a new segment he's doing for us called Collectors Connection.  Its interesting!  You don't want to miss it.  In the second half, we read your emails about your favorite WOJM memories from our previous 100 combined episodes.  Oddly, most have to do with our Kevin Michael Richardson interview or Chuck melting down.  Both EXCELLENT choices in our opinion.  In the news, all 15 figures of the 2013 JoeCon set are revealed.  You will get your Justin Bell-free thoughts.  We are also excited to report that PRODUCT of all types ARE ON THE SHELVES!  Retaliation Wave 2 singles, Retaliation Wave 2 3-packs, Micro Force, Kre-o's and the running changes of the Basic Assortment figures (aka Dollar General Joes).  Also in the news is a LOT of movie news...well, more movie news than we are normally used to since May.  So all in all, it is a jam packed show.  Its awesome, and you know its awesome because we talk about Suzanne Pleshette...I mean, when was the last time ANYONE mentioned anything about Suzanne Pleshette - on a GI Joe podcast no less.  Enjoy #100 in a style only we do things!

WOJM: The “Lost” Episodes #3

Episode 71: What's on JOE Mind?

At just over 3 hours, this epic clocks in as our second longest episode ever. It's hard to believe we've never done a 3 hour podcast before, but you asked for it, therefore, you got it. MOAR WOJM! Think of it as a 3 course meal. Your appetizer is a marathon interview with Distinguished Author, Mark Bellomo. We cover things from the short comings of the hobby today and even dive into a little Monster High - not that we went in depth on that one, but is was brought up to prove a point. From Toys to Education, we cover it all with Mark. Before the main course, we cleanse your pallet with a trip into the mail bag and a review of the Vintage, 30th Pre-Prod and 30th Retail versions of the Skystriker from our man Shogi. In your main course, we deliver you hearty portions of community news covering FSS Shipment #1, the Shooter Kickstarter Project, Hot Toys, Retaliation and a roundtable discussion concerning the GIJCC Newsletter. If you are not full yet, Chuck awards the winner in the FOC logo contest and we are joined by WOJM FFL Champion Dan Uthman all episode long as he hangs out with us as a Special Guest. There is a little something here for everyone. So, for the next 3 hours (or next 3 lunch hours) enjoy as the news drought begins to end and the run to Retaliation and Indianapolis begins! For those who aren't into the Fantasy Football, our big Fantasy League wrap up with our Champion Dan runs from 02:36:30 to 02:49:23. Yes, its a lengthy segment, but Dan has certainly earned his time in the sun to speak his mind, so we let him...and our witty banter rip with this last football segment of the 2012-2013 football season. Does it mean we're done talking Football....NO! We still need to pester Justin about his Patriots choking in big games, AND we have March Madness right around the corner. We'll still talk sports, but we will be doing a little less of it for the upcoming future. Besides, there is Toy Fair, Retaliation, JoeCon, the FSS and new toys coming out, so we will have PLENTY to talk about! We can't wait!!

WOJM Special Edition #22: A look back at the 25th Anniversary/Modern Era Line

Episode 70: What’s on JOE Mind?

It is an extended episode of WOJM as we review the year that was 2012 and preview the upcoming 12 months with high hopes of a big year.  However, before we get to that we have a very special holiday treat to share with you, an interview with the Sunbow voice of Flint, Bill Ratner.  Jumping into the news, the FSS has launched, The GIJCC annouces a second run of JoeCon 2012 sets, USA Today looks at IDW's new Special Missions title, JoeCon will be in Indy, Amazon lowers 4-packs to crazy levels, Chuck thinks wrestling rumors concerning Retaliation is legit, and Hot Toys gets a Retaliation license!  Whew...so much for slow news, eh? For the year in review, we remember the first of the Retaliation toys to hit, the uncovering of the "Dollar General" Joes, Retaliation gets delayed, and WOJM experiences some major growth. In the 2013 preview, we talk about our excitement for the film (still) and whether or not we will see it in 3D.  Further we bat around the possibilities of the 2013 JoeCon set, IDW's "relaunch" of the main comic and briefly talk about Kre-O's Even though we are posting this ON Christmas Day, we go over a Holiday Buying guide in the event you need ONE MORE Joe gift to buy for that decerning fellow collector of yours. Lastly, we talk about those we lost in 2012, crown the Best Chuck Moment of 2012, get the lowdown from the Fantasy Football Desk and we wrap it with our regular "What we got in..." and "Shout Outs" segment.
